First Officers Log: Day 12: 99 Luftballoons

Day 12: 99 Luftballoons

Awoke at 7:00 am mdt, after getting the most sleep this week. Breakfast this morning was at the Jailhouse Cafe. I have to say best breakfast so far, and the bacon oh god in my top three ever! After breakfast it was off to our 1 millionth National Park, Arches. Definitely one of my favorites. There was a German family we kept seeing singing at the different stops along the park. One of the song's was one my Momma sang to me as a kid, though I can't remember the words or the name of the song. It was nice to bond with some of my fellow German's for a moment. Here is a few pictures from the park.

After the park it was up along the river to Colorado.

The rest of the day was just on the road to our hotel for the night. It was nice to drive through some mountains and which really cooled the weather down, which was a nice break after the last few days. It so cold up here there is SNOW! I never thought I would see snow in July.

Traffic got really bad on I-70 to Denver. I have no friggin idea why, my guess is that people are morons and can't drive. Anyway if I ever get out of this and to the hotel I will be a much happier person. One more week left, an though I am having a blast I am looking forward to a hot dog at Coney Island and a few days with my lady. Miss you babe!!!
